My new Graphics Drawing Tablet arrived this morning. I got Krita so I'd have an art program that can use the pressure sensitivity function, but I can't figure out how to get the program to actually let me draw, with the tablet or the mouse. For some reason it doesn't let me put anything on the canvas. I'll be looking up some tutorials and trying to figure out what is going on. Wish me luck!

Just ordered a graphic drawing tablet online, it is supposed to arrive on the 14th. It will be my first such so I'll be playing around with it some for a while, then we'll see what I come up with once I learn to use it.

Staples.com estimated delivery at the 14th, but it has already shipped and is expected to arrive tomorrow! ^_^
Finally an Idea for one of them!
If you saw my earlier journal, "Running out of time and still no ideas...", then you know about the contests Nexon/Mabinogi is holding, the ones with a Wacom tablet as a prize. The "Outfit Design Contest" and the "Illustration Contest" to be exact. (Both of which end on January 18, 2016 at 11:59:59 pm.) Anyway, I was running out of time and had no ideas of what to do for my entry but I just came up with a good idea for the Illustration Contest at least!
My idea for my entry to the Illustration Contest goes as follows:
My character sitting on the riverbank, leaning against a tree trunk, idly strumming his mandolin while his fishing-pole is propped beside him with the line and bobber in the water. There is a white fence behind the tree separating a wheat field from the river, Lorna and Pan happily playing in the field without a care in the world. Nao sits on the branch of a nearby tree watching all 3 of them and chewing idly on a shaft of wheat.
Unfortunately I don't have much confidence in my ability to do anywhere near good enough to win, but all I can do is my best! Still no ideas for the Outfit Design Contest though...
(For those who don't play Mabinogi... Nao, Lorna and Pan are prominent NPCs whom every player knows, or has interacted with on several occassions at least. Well, Lorna more than Pan, but the two are a set. Nao is a divine being who used to be a human girl named Mari before being...changed. Now she guides the Milletians, those who cross the Soul Stream, in other words, the players. Lorna and Pan did some of the tutorial stuff early in the game, are featured prominantly in the old guides as the ones telling the player the info, and now Lorna is in every single town on the first continent where she is used to access some stuff. Pan is a black sheep that is always seen with her, like Mary had her little lamb, Lorna has her little Pan. 
This is the three of them together, the text is Korean but I have no idea if this is official art from the Korean version or just some really good fanart though. Nao, Lorna, and Pan. These are the 3 Heroes: The mage Tarlach, the swordsman Ruari, and the archer Mari. Mari is who Nao used to be when she was still human.)
Probably mentioned it before but...
A MMORPG I play, "Mabinogi",(can be found on the web and also on Steam) is having a contest to win a Wacom tablet for doing digital art, but I'm running out of time to enter and still haven't decided on what to do for my entry, let alone gotten started on it! 11 days left... Wish me luck, I need it!
Well, actually they are holding 3 contests, 2 of which have a Wacom tablet as a prize. (1st prize in one, 2nd prize in the other). The "Outfit Design Contest" and the "Illustration Contest". Both of which end on January 18, 2016 at 11:59:59 pm.
The 3rd contest, the "Screenshot Contest", ends on the 11th but I'm not really interested in that, the prize for it is a stuffed doll estimated at $50 which I have no use for except maybe to sell.
