Have you ever had one of those dreams...?

You ever have one of those dreams that make you want to write a story purely so you can get revenge on the villain from the dream?

This morning's dream was one such. I only remember bits and pieces though.

Something about a magic crown being kept at what seemed like a cross between a Chinese palace and a Shaolin temple. A kind girl who was sent by a queen to check up on things. Someone attacked the place to steal the crown for themselves, apparently believing it would give them the power to conquer and rule.

Then comes the only part I remember clearly... The head of the place was shot because he wouldn't cooperate. The girl had the crown and was bawling and begging them to let her use the crown's power to save him. The villain agrees, telling her that if she hands the crown over to him he will use the power to save him before they leave. She gives in, comes over and hands it to him. Even as she hands the crown over though one of his subordinates grabs her from behind and slits her throat.

The next scene is the following day and the girl's superior and a security guard or cop are standing over the bodies as the superior berates the guard for allowing the crown to be stolen and the multiple deaths that occured that night(apparently the girl and the priest were not the only ones to lose their lives).

That is where I woke up.

I liked that girl! She was a kind, sweet child. The type that anyone with a shred of decency would want to protect!

If I end up actually writing this story, believe me, that villain's end will be excruciating!

I much prefer the dreams where I'm being chased through root-filled underground labyrinths by werewolves, in search of the only artifact that can put a stop to them, knowing they will tear me to shreds if I slow down...
